Challenge
Lara had outgrown her existing free website hosting. It was time for something more customised and professional instead of the tired old template based styling.
One of her concerns was that she didn’t want to lose traffic to her existing site due to excessive downtime or lost content.
Solution
After helping to find suitable hosting, the new website was built at a temporary address. Once it was ready the domain was pointed at the new site, meaning that the original site stayed live right up until the change over. This ensured minimal downtime.
The new site was built to preserve the existing structure, blog content and comments. Keeping these things the same meant minimal disruption to search engine traffic while giving the site a fresh new build from the ground up.
